Construction

The Frost Lake Group has served British Columbia with various quality construction projects related to road building, pre-fab building erection, concrete, drainage and reservoirs, and numerous other civil and earth works. Aside from having a diverse project portfolio as well as full phase logging and road building equipment, many of the opportunities Frost Lake has been a part of have come about through strong relationships with First Nations.

Frost Lake has subcontracted to various companies on commercial and industrial development projects. These customers and projects have included:

Pacific Trail Pipeline

The Pacific Trail Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline connecting northeast BC to a potential LNG transport facility in Kitimat B.C.

Partnered with various First Nation Groups and ROGA Contracting, Frost Lake managed the Right of Way clearing program. This consisted of project management, clearing, grading, road building, and aggregation of other contractors. With a strong team and strong relationships with First Nations, Frost Lake and partners successfully cleared Centreline for almost 50km of Chevron’s Pacific Trail Pipeline in a short period of time.

It is hoped that further right of way clearing on the larger sections of the Pacific Trail Pipeline (300 km + allocated from Summit Lake, BC to Houston, BC) will begin in summer of 2017.

Site C

Construction of the BC Hydro Site C Dam project near Fort St John in north-eastern British Columbia is underway. Frost Lake completed the first phase of a component of this project through its formal partnership with the Halfway River First Nation (Halfway River Frost Limited Partnership). The project involved mulching, stripping, road construction and various civil works on the future dam site.

This partnership in turn has been working in a more informal partnership with the McLeod Lake Indian Band (Duz Cho Construction).

Halfway Frost LP expects to begin further early civil works on the dam site in spring of 2016.

Meikle Wind Farm

The Meikle Wind project is located in the Peace Region and will provide clean, renewable energy. Halfway Frost LP carried out clearing, road building, and other early works with partners from McLeod Lake First Nation (Duz Cho Construction) and West Moberly First Nation.

Northwest Transmission Line

The Northwest Transmission Line Project will provide northwest B.C. industrial development and clean power projects.

Frost lake completed 80 km of right of way clearing and road building through mountainous terrain in Northwest BC for the power line project.

Transfer Station and Waste Water System

This project consisted of civil works for a health clinic, solid waste transfer station, and waste water system upgrade at the Yekoochie First Nation (northwest of Fort St. James, B.C.). Frost Lake also constructed a shop building for future economic benefits for the Nation.

Large-Scale Road Building (IDL Projects Inc.)

Frost Lake has worked with IDL Projects on a variety of Road Construction projects in the Prince George area such as:

  • Willow Cale FSR surface upgrade on the BCR Industrial Site (BCR Properties Ltd.)
  • 4 Laning Hwy 97 (Cariboo Connector) near Hixon, BC (Ministry of Transportation and Highways)
  • Prince George Airport grading and levelling (Prince George Airport Authority)
